Built around 1880 in a quiet residential area of Funchal at the foot of the famous toboggan run below Monte, Casa Belflores is a cosy traditional Madeiran house which has been carefully restored to provide superbly comfortable holiday accommodation with private pool - a favourite with families and couples alike. It is a perfect base from which to discover the interesting and busy little city of Funchal (a 10 minute ride on the local bus or 25 minutes' steep walk downhill) or you can go further afield to explore the spectacular mountain scenery of inland Madeira, either by foot along the 'levadas' or by car. |

This house is tucked away in a well-tended, old fashioned garden full of exotic flowers, creepers, shrubs and fruit trees. It will sleep five in comfort in one double, one twin and one single bedroom, with space for an additional teenager/child on the pull-out bed in the single room. A bathroom with walk-in dressing room is on the same floor. Downstairs the spacious living room, with open fireplace for log fires on winter evenings, has French windows opening on to the garden with chairs, tables, sunbeds and parasols. The large, well-equipped kitchen with integral dining area has a separate laundry room beyond, next to the second bathroom. Neighbouring owner, Joy, will offer you a warm welcome and be on hand if help is needed and a cheerful maid service (and baby sitting if requested) is provided by Ciseltine.

The three, comfortable bedrooms are upstairs with gorgeous sea views: one double, one twin and one single. The beds are made up with crisp white cotton sheets and, for the cooler winter nights, each has its own electric under blanket. |

1 bathroom upstairs with walk-in dressing room and electric towel rail 1 shower room downstairs which acts as a guest WC. A hairdryer is provided. |

Fully equipped and well designed, with gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave oven, coffee machine, toaster, plus crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking/serving utensils for 6 guests. |

The laundry room next to the kitchen has a washing machine, steam iron and ironing board. |
| General: |
Fully furnished with cleaning and linen changed twice-weekly.. A basket of provisions and fresh flowers will be waiting for you when you arrive. Open log fire (weekly charge of €25 for logs), electric fire in the dining room and a portable gas heater are provided for winter months. High chair and cot available on request. Hair dryers provided. Broadband connection available: bring your own computer and connection cable. |

The house is ideal for indoor/outdoor living and you can enjoy eating meals outside in every season except perhaps Jan-Mar. The pool is located in the upper garden of the house in a very sheltered and private location with superb views - a real sun-trap because the white garden walls reflect the sun all around the area and as you relax you can listen to the breeze in the adjacent banana trees. Garden furniture, sunbeds and parasols are Weber BBQ are provided. |

Guests may park cars on the road right outside the house. Due to the elevated position of the house there is no entrance for cars. |

Popular with all age groups. Sorry, NO SMOKING in the villa - only outside. No pets. |

I can book one of our English speaking taxi drivers (Carlos or Luis) to meet you at the airport and drive you to your property at a charge of 30 Euros. |

I can book a car to be waiting in the airport car park for you to pick up and pay for by credit card when you arrive.
